Whoa! I can’t believe it’s almost the end of January 2020 and I’m only getting around to blogging this fun family session now! I loved this family the second I met them at Stadshuset in Stockholm. Despite the freezing temperatures, they greeted me with big smiles and continued smiling right through our photo session. Talk about positive energy - my kind of people ;).

On a different note, I hope you all had a lovely Christmas and are feeling pumped for this new decade. I hit the ground running in the new year with some creative portrait sessions that left me feeling very inspired. Maybe I’ll share them here sometime. Be sure to watch this space :).

2019 Favourite Client Photographs | Family Photographer Stockholm

Can you believe it? 2019 is about to come screeching to a halt. OK, maybe that’s a bit dramatic, but you know what I mean, right? ;)

I finalised my last client order last week and thought now would be the perfect opportunity to show you a selection of my favourite client photographs from 2019. I have been fortunate enough to work, yet again, with some of my regular families. I’m sure you will recognise their faces below :). It really is a HUGE honour when my families book another jolly session. I also met some lovely new families. Lots of fun was had on every single photo session. Please know I will stop at nothing to make someone laugh for a photograph ;)

So, that’s a wrap for 2019, folks. Thanks to each and every one of you who visit the Jolly blog. And a MASSIVE thank you to all the lovely families who chose Sandra Jolly Photography this year. 2019 favourite personal photographs | Stockholm familjefotograf

Yes, folks, 2019 is rapidly drawing to a close. For me, it’s been a deeply spiritual year. I have had some beautiful spiritual experiences (maybe I’ll tell a select one or two of you about them over a drink sometime), and I have grown a lot from them. It’s been a year of going inwards and reflecting on the life lessons that I have experienced so far. It’s likely because of all this personal and spiritual growth, that I haven’t taken as many photos for myself as I usually do. On the up side of this, not taking as many pictures as normal meant that I have been more present and mindful of what’s been happening around me. And this can only be good, right?

For now, I’ll leave you with a selection of my favourite personal photographs from 2019. I hope you enjoy them and I also hope you take the time to be present this Christmas. Give someone the gift of presence.

Portraits Matter | Family Photographer in Stockholm

When was the last time you got your whole family together for a photograph?
Do you keep saying, 'next time'? What makes you so sure there will be a next time?
I have learned the hard way that sometimes there isn't a next time.
And that hurts. A lot.
Portraits matter. And if you haven't lost a member of your family yet, you probably can't even imagine how much portraits matter. One day though, you will know.
